Anatomy of a Curve

This month’s program was attended via Zoom as our speaker was from Norway! We really enjoyed Daisy Aschehoug’s presentation for using curves in quilting.

Daisy is an award-winning quilter, designer and author of two books (Quilt Modern Curves and Bold Stripes (with Heather Black) and Quilting with Curves).

Our guild also celebrated a belated Valentine’s Day or Galentine’s Day gift exchange. This was a fun challenge. Everyone put their heart into their gift.

Children across Arkansas have created quilt squares. The squares will be stitched together in the gallery for visitors to watch as we create a large community quilt!

NWA Modern Quilt Guild will be covering some Tuesday morning shifts (9 AM – 1 PM), as well as Thursday evenings (5:30 – 8:00 PM). Two quilters are required per shift. If interested, contact Cheryl Carter for information.

Members can sign up for shifts via our SignUpGenius page.

Galentine’s Day Challenge

We’ll be celebrating a “Delayed but Handmade” Valentine’s day this year.

Bring an item to exchange at the March 17 meeting.

Need an idea? Gift bags, mug rugs or any Valentine-themed item would be ideal.
